Providing the perfect balance of nature, solitude, and exclusive privacy, our six en-suite units offer the ultimate sanctuary in the heart of the Northern Cape. Whether you are a romantic party of two or a lively group of 17 looking for the ideal family reunion, you own the river and the veld for the duration of your stay.
A short drive from the N12 brings you to our gates, followed by a scenic meander through the bushveld. The path descends to a home shaded by a lush canopy of riverine trees, designed beautifully for the great outdoors in summer and cosy interiors in winter. From here, you can explore the vast Nama-Karoo veld, hills and ridges alongside the Orange River, its islands and riverine vegetation.
Guests can immerse themselves in quiet reflection or choose from fly fishing, birding, ancient Bushman engravings, paddling, mountain biking, walking and swimming. The landscape can also be explored from Egerton’s dedicated Land Cruiser game viewer with a professional guide.

Canoeing
Orange River Canoeing is an incredible experience. An array of canoes, tubes, rubber inflatables, paddles and life jackets are available on the Egerton beach. Our 10km stretch of river has something for everyone. Long stretches of calm water for a leisurely sundowner drift on a canoe or tube. Or take it up a notch and head for the famous white-water rapids ‘Shake Rattle and Roll’ and ‘Longdrop’. Life jackets are compulsory at all times.
